Pamela Mummy has always been infatuated with the human face. By sculpting the face using clay as her medium, she is able to capture all the nuances of a three-dimensional image.

With her years of technical expertise and skill, she is able to make a ball of clay take on a very realistic form, complete with its own personality. She then adds her own artistic vision to the form and gives it a story to tell. Perhaps it is wearing armor, or has wings. The facial expression, head angle, clothing, and other additions make each sculpture invite speculation, offering each individual the chance to engage with it in her own way.
