Like most natives of the Pacific Northwest, Jolie Maki spends a lot of time enjoying nature's abundance, whether wandering the tide pools, riding horses, hiking in the mountains, or cycling the roads of the countryside. Her early years of wanderlust in the natural world continues to drive her creative inspiration.

Jolie returned to school after a successful 18 year career in graphic design to acquire a BFA degree in the metal arts with a minor in art history from the University of Washington. Her current mediums include 18k gold and sterling silver. With an interest in history and various world cultures, Jolie prefers ancient metalsmithing techniques, such as forging, chasing and repoussé. Her curious selections of stones are used to inspire unique designs and carry mystical powers for the wearer. She creates everything herself in her studio in Snohomish, Washington.
