Sagapo Candles
Sagapo Candles was founded in 2002 by Amy Vakontios. Originally from San Diego, Amy moved to Washington State in 1996 and began a career at a perfumery. For the next two years she worked closely with the head perfumer compounding fragrances for the cosmetic and candle industry.
Later, while working as a lab technician for a large candle manufacturer, her skills developed as she learned what it takes to make a great candle. The more knowledge she acquired, the more she desired to design and market her own candles. Sagapo is the realization of her dream to produce high quality contemporary candles.
Every Sagapo candle is hand poured in Amy's Snohomish, Washington, studio. Each small batch of wax is checked for quality. No shortcuts are ever taken during the pour process, which ensures the candles will have a superior burn performance without problems such as tunneling or wick migration. The fragrances are highly concentrated, complex blends of excellent quality, manufactured locally in Washington State.
