Pendulum Clock
The square face and rectangular pendulum opening unite the right and left sides of this clock to create a harmonious whole. A hand held plasma cutter carves the designs into aluminum, which is then coated with other metals (typically copper, bronze and iron). Each of these metals reacts differently to the chemical patinas and dyes with which Rickard finishes the pieces, which reflect a love of geometry, movement and color.
