Pendulum Clock
The round face of this clock has a large circular cutout at 12 o'clock. It is complemented by a matching round pendulum swinging gracefully below. A hand held plasma cutter carves the designs into aluminum, which is then coated with other metals (typically copper, bronze and iron). Each of these metals reacts differently to the chemical patinas and dyes with which Rickard finishes the pieces, which reflect a love of geometry, movement and color.
